What We Do

At Bassett Small Engine, we do repairs on lawnmowers, big and small, string trimmers, edgers, blowers, chain saws, pressure washers, tillers, and other gas-powered equipment. We also do service and repairs on Golf Carts. We do not work on ATVs, dirt bikes, go-carts, motorcycles, cars, trucks, or boats.

What We Sell

We sell the parts on the above-mentioned items for those people who do their maintenance and repairs. We are cost-conscious so we do comparative pricing between OEM (Original Equipment Manufacture) versus aftermarket parts. We don’t recommend using aftermarket parts for internal engine parts. If we can save you a few dollars, as long as the quality is there, fantastic!

We also sell new Husqvarna lawn care equipment!

Excellent equipment that is very well made to last longer than most equipment on the market. They have both residential equipment and commercial equipment. Their residential equipment is made as well or better than other brands’ commercial equipment! Come check it out!

Our Process

1. When you bring your piece of equipment, we will have you fill out a Work Order with your name, address, phone number, and what the problem is with your piece of equipment. We will ask you what the problem is too so maybe we can help with the wording and give a quick diagnosis.
2. When our mechanic, Bill, gets to your equipment, he will diagnose what the problem is, and give you a call with the price for parts and labor.
   1. If you approve the price, we will go ahead and order parts if needed and do the repair.
   2. If you do not approve the repair, most of the time when it is not worth fixing or it is beyond repair, you will only pay the $17.50* Check-out Charge. You do not pay this if the repairs are approved and we do the repairs.
3. Once your equipment is repaired and has been double-checked that it is completed, we will call you that it is ready.

Please be aware that because of the quality of our work, we are usually about two weeks backed up, sometimes more, sometimes less, depending on the season.
