FAQ

Here are some of the questions that our customers have asked us.

What’s your hourly rate?

Our shop hourly rate is $70. Everywhere else is at least $85 and up.

Do you give estimates before you do the work?

Yes, we will give you an estimate before any work is done to verify that you want us to do the work. We don’t like to be surprised when we get work done, so we don’t think you would like to be surprised with you bring in your push mower to get worked on and we call to tell you that it is ready and it will cost you $250 for parts and repairs when we know you can get a brand new one starting at $150.

What kind of guarantee do you give on your repairs?

If you have any problems with the work that we have done on your equipment, please bring it in right away so we can see what is going on. We give a 15-day guarantee on the equipment that we work on, on the problem that we work on. If the issue is something that we didn’t work on, then it wouldn’t be covered. If you had a carb job done, and you put bad gas in it after the repair, that won’t be covered. If you had a carb job done, and didn’t use it for four months and now it has the same problem, that won’t be covered.

What types of payments do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, debit cards, and major credit cards.

What are your business hours?

March – October: Monday – Friday: 10 am – 6 pm, Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm

November – February: Tuesday – Friday: 10 am – 6 pm, Saturday: 10 am – 2 pm

Do you offer pick-up and delivery services?

Yes, the rate depends on how far away you are from the shop. We only do pick up and delivery on Saturdays between 10 am and 2 pm, weather permitting.

How fast will I get my work done? Can I wait for the repair?

We are usually about two weeks backed up. Any reputable repair shop will be at least that long. Sometimes we are more, sometimes we are less, depending on the time of the year. During Spring and Summer, we will be a bit more than two weeks out. Fall and Winter we will be less than two weeks out. Once we get your approval for a job, we may have to wait anywhere from two days to two weeks for parts, depending on availability.

I wouldn’t recommend waiting for the repair. There are some rare times that we may be able to get right on it and get something simple done while you wait, like changing your blades. But in most cases we work it in order of how the jobs came in.
